Our training courses are led by instructors having years of experience in equipment automation and SEMI communications standards, particularily supporting customers in designing, developping, testing and installing systems compliants to SEMI standards.

We intentionnaly limit class size so that each student can get a personalized approach to reach his expectations and needs.

Classes can be held in French or English either at our Montpellier office or at customer site.

SECS-GEM-HSMS & Automation

FOCUSSIA is proposing an high level training module about equipment automation in semiconductor industry.
Agenda below is provided for information but trainings sessions are adapted according to the needs and goals of trainees.

Goals   Agenda
The objective is that trainees get a deep knowledge of the automation of process equipments in semiconductor industry and acquire needed knowledge in SEMI communcation standards (SECS/GEM/HSMS and 300mm related standards).
Allow trainees to be integrated quickly in an automation team to manage projects onsite or to develop communication interfaces compliant to SEMI standards.

  Introduction :
Welcome and presentation of the training session.
Introduction to semiconductor industry : Semiconductor manufacturing process, automation in semiconductor plant.
Automation architecture.
Methodology of automation projects : Project progress, from analysis to project end, main steps.

Equipment communications protocols :
SECS2:
- Messages, Stream and Functions, exchanges, structure and data types, messages details, protocol parameters. Practice.
SECS1:
- Serial and TCP, Physical layer, blocs, transfert, protocol parameters. Practice.
HSMS :
- TCPIP, State diagram, message format, protocol parameters. Practice.
GEM :
- State model, scenarios. Practice.
Case study of an equipment connection to automation
- Analysis of an automation scenario.
- Analysis of equipment documentation.
- Equipment caracterisation.
- Operating an equipment.
- Manage acceptance, tests and validation.
- Analysis of error cases based on low level logs : some wrong behaviors to analyse and solve based on equipment logs and automation logs.
QA session, on-demand details.

A computer already setup for practice with simulation and development tools is provided to each trainee during the training session.
A workbook is provided including training slides as well as samples and step by step practices.
A USB key including the workbook is provided for a later use.

 

KCGEM

FOCUSSIA is proposing an high level training module about equipment integration in semiconductor industry using FOCUSSIA products.
Agenda below is provided for information but trainings sessions are adapted according to the needs and goals of trainees.

The objective is that trainees can customize, maintain and support the KCGEM200 and KCGEM300 products and create applications allowing their equipments to be integrated into semiconductor plant thanks to SEMI SECS/GEM standards compliant interfaces.

  Introduction :
Welcome and presentation of the training session.
Understand architecture and main tools of SBSS Framework used as KCGEM200 & KCGEM300 Core system.
Discovery of the IDE.
Scripts and SBSS Features.
Practice and analyse logs.
Detailed features :
Presentation of SBSS Generic design.
Concepts of interfaces, transients, persistants, jobs and macros.
Practice : Principles of SBSS programming.
GEM OEM Concept :
Introduction to SBSS GEM OEM Model.
KCGEM200 and KCGEM300 : Setup SEMI standards.
Practice : Handle GEM Services with a host simulator.
GEM OEM Customization
How to design a solution for a GEM Specification.
Specific GEM requirements. Conception and development.
Practice : Debugging and validation.

Discussion about SBSS, customization and new requirements setup.

QA session, on-demand details.
